Sometime early one morning in 1825, Michael Faraday scientist awoke from a dream in which his dog, Ruffy was chasing his tail. Inspiration struck, and the benzol atomic structure, C6H6, was discovered. To mark this discovery, master watchmaker Martin Braun designed a special chronograph combining the colors red, orange and yellow to create an unusual timepiece. The combination of bright colors and black carbon fiber aside from being an attractive, uplifting set of colors positively exudes the velocity of a fast-moving carbon atom.
A striking chronograph featuring a distinct look of speed about it, this feel carries over to the reliable ETA Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement powering the timekeeper that has been finished to Braun’s specifications. The watch features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and a hexagonal exhibition case back revealing a unique Martin Braun rotor.
The stainless steel wide coin edged case with its integrated chronograph pushers is the perfect size for comfortable wear in any situation. This case was designed by Martin Braun himself and contains a lavish 22 half-circles cut into the middle section to form the fluting and features a hexagonal screwed-down crown. The Benzol chronograph is delivered on an industry first: a striking and very comfortable calfskin strap covered with military grade nylon that is attached to the lugs by screws instead of pins for added security.
